History
2012
Franken Voltage Ink Tattoo and Piercing Studio’s name was created with a little story behind it. It is based on Frankenstein theme whereby Frankenstein was created and brought to life with “volts” of electricity from lightning in the sky. Similarly, when getting your artwork inked, the machine that you get tattooed with is also powered by volts of electricity, thus brining the artwork on your skin to life!
The idea
The studio offers a wide variety of different styles of tattoos ranging from purely decorative designs to symbolic meaning tattoos, as well as pictorial images. The tattoo can be anything from a simple word or phrase to a complete full sleeve, whether it be black and grey or full colour. Kim and her team, specializes in fine-line tattoos and cover-ups and they are always up to any creative challenge you may throw their way. All custom tattoo design work is produced by Kim and her team.
Mission
The main aim of Franken Voltage Ink Studio is to provide a friendly and helpful environment to every client that walks through our doors and to ensure that each client leaves satisfied, happy and with a big smile on their face. Our main goal is to expand our already existing “family” of regulars.
As a tattoo is grounded on living skin, so its essence emotes a poignancy unique to the mortal human condition.A tattoo is a true poetic creation, and is always more than meets the eye.
Additional
"Tattoos make you a unique art piece and tell many hidden stories, they can be a mark of your life's journey and yes! tattoos bring out that good kind of confidence like nothing else can. Be proud of your ink and let your creativity shine" - Kim
Permanent Make-up
We offer permanent make-up for eyebrows of all shapes, sizes and colours to best suit your facial structure. Kim specializes in Microblading and Embroidery. Microblading is a tattooing technique in which a small hand-held tool made up of several tiny needles is used to add semi-permanent pigment to the skin, which gives the appearance of natural eyebrow hairs. The Embroidery is done using the same technique but it creates more of a powdering background effect. This helps soften the look of the Microblading to give a more natural look to the eyebrows. Depending on the client’s skin type the effects of Microblading and Embroidery last anywhere between 18 to 30 months, thus saving you a lot of money on make-up products.
When the pigment begins to noticeably fade, you will need to return for a touch-up application, and then thereafter you will need a further touch-up approximately on a yearly basis. The cost of each procedure includes the numbing of the skin before and during the application and also includes your aftercare cream.
Tattoo Removal
The procedure is a non-laser tattoo removal method which is better for the client as it is less painful than the laser technique and there is less risk of scarring. This method of removal was initially developed for permanent make-up removal and has now progressed to being used for tattoo removal as well. The process begins by firstly numbing the skin over the existing tattoo. Because the tattoo ink under the skin contains an earth metal substance, we are able to then tattoo a magnetic ointment substance over the existing tattoo which pulls the ink to the surface of the skin so that this layer can peel off. The number of times that this process will need to be repeated depends entirely on how each individual client’s skin responds to the treatment. Before this removal procedure can be done we would first need to set up a consultation, free of charge, so that we can explain the best options for you and provide a quotation.
Here is a video that you can watch to see exactly how the non-laser tattoo removal procedure that we offer is implemented.
